The Zoo offers the classical animal garden with various animal houses and more than 2 400 animals in the exhibits during the opening hours. In the summer, vast grassy exhibits are filled with African Safari hoofed animals and birds. Visitors are allowed to take a twenty- minute ride inside and on a special Safaribuses with trained drivers and their comments. The ride is included in the entrance fee.
To get to the Safaribus station you may use the ZOO trains which will take you along the summer exhibits. There are several restaurants open – e.g. “U lemura“ (At the Lemur´s open all year round, and summer restaurants “U plameňaků“ - “At the Flamingos´“, “At the Tigers´“ and “At the rhinos´“ and some stalls all over the Zoo area. The most intriguing exhibits are the tropical ones called the Bird world (Ptačí svět), Water world (Vodní svět), an exhibition “The Prehistoric ages through the eyes of Zdeněk Burian“, An Island of Lemurs, a huge go-through bird aviary, exhibits of wild beasts, primates, elephants, rhinos and nocturnal animals.
